St Polycarps RC School, Waverley Lane, Farnham, Surrey. Contract sum £638,600.00.
The project involved the design and construction of teaching accommodation for an established voluntary aided primary school. The first phase comprised of six classrooms with a multipurpose activity hall. The project was funded jointly between the DFEE / Surrey County Council and the School's Governors.
The design and scale of the accommodation relates to the use by school children under 11 years old, particularly in respect of the window sill heights and configuration of their cruciform profile, central to the Roman Catholic faith.
Phase One was completed in time for the new academic year in September 2000.
