Hawthorns Motorsport sponsorship
Haworth King are pleased to have been joint race team sponsors since 2005 to Hawthorns Motorsport, founded in 1997 and based in Farnham, Surrey.
Drivers Rod Barrett and Jan Persson, with previous experience driving TVR Tuscans, entered a BMW Z3M Coupe in the 2005 Cup Class of the British GT3 Championship. The car was prepared by Colin Blower Motorsport.
In June 2006 the team transferred to EERC Britcar series and in 2006 the Team purchased a Porsche 996 GT3 Cup car. In 2007 the car finished 4th overall in class.
In 2008 Hawthorn Motorsport are again competing in the Porsche 996/GT3 Cup, supported by Neil Garner Performance Engineering, and the season has got off to a good start at Silverstone. The 2008 calendar also includes for races at Brands Hatch, SPA, Snetterton and Donnington.
